How do I start my paper account over?
Trade › Assets, in paper mode
In paper mode, open the Assets tab under the chart and press Start paper account over. Your paper balance goes back to the starting $10,000, open paper positions close with no result, resting paper orders are cancelled and the paper trade history is cleared. It cannot be undone, so the confirm lists exactly what goes before you press it.
Step by step
- Switch to paperThe LIVE · PAPER switch in the top bar. Assets shows your paper balance, where you started and the session result.
- Press Start paper account overUnder the three figures on the Assets tab.
- Read the confirmIt shows the balance before and after, and how many positions, orders and trades go. Start over does it; Not now leaves everything as it was.
Good to know
- Kept as they are: your strategies, your journal, your bots and anything you trade live. Paper bots keep their own record on our servers and go on running, so a running paper bot is safe.
- The paper account is kept in this browser. Another browser or device has its own, and starting over here leaves it alone.
