How we write

Plain words, honest numbers, sources named.

The rules every guide, help article and page on this site keeps, where the facts come from, and how to tell us when we get one wrong.

Updated

In short
  • One question each. The first paragraph is the whole answer. The rest is the working, for when you want it.
  • Teach, never tell. No predictions, no signals, no news, and no number you are told to use. You pick your own.
  • Numbers you can check. Every figure is computed from the formula it shows, and every invented number says it is an example.
  • Sources named. Each guide lists the books and documents it draws on, at the end, so you can read them yourself.

Who writes these pages?

The people who build BuildTrade™ write the guides, the help center and every page on this site, with an AI writing assistant helping on drafts. No exchange, sponsor or advertiser writes, pays for or approves anything here.

What do the guides cover, and what do they leave out?

How trading works: the exchange’s rules, risk and position size, testing a strategy, orders and bots, and reviewing your own trades. They leave out predictions, signals, price targets, news and any number you are told to use. You pick your own.

Where do the facts come from?

Facts about Hyperliquid come from its own documentation, and ideas about method from published trading books. Both are listed at the end of each guide, the documents with the date we read them. If a source does not say it, the guide does not either.

How are the numbers checked?

Every number in a worked example is computed by the site’s own code from the formula the guide shows, never typed by hand, and every invented number is labelled as example data. Before a page goes out, automatic checks look at each answer’s length, the wording rules on this page and every link on the site.

How do the guides relate to the app?

Each guide ends with one thing to try on paper, and it describes only what BuildTrade™ does today. The help center explains the app screen by screen, and when a screen changes, its help article changes in the same release.

What does the Updated date mean?

It is the last day the words on that page changed. The same date sits in the page’s data for search engines and in the sitemap, so it moves only when the content does.

How do we correct a mistake?

Write to support@buildtrade.app. A person reads every message. When we got something wrong, we fix the page, and its Updated date moves to the day of the fix.

Who is BuildTrade™?

BuildTrade™ is a crypto trading toolkit for Hyperliquid: charts, strategies written in plain English, backtests, bots and a journal. It never holds your funds and gives no predictions, signals or news. Paper trading is free forever; live trading starts at $39 a month. Nothing on this site is financial advice.

Read a guide, then try it on paper.

Every guide ends with one step to take in the app, free with simulated money on live prices.
