Good trades are built, not guessed.
Plan the trade, size it from what you can afford to lose, and let a checklist, a backtest and a journal keep you to it. Charts, strategies in plain English and bots that follow your rules — on Hyperliquid, with your money in your own wallet.

Decide the loss first. The size follows.
Type your own numbers. This is the arithmetic the order ticket runs before every order: the loss you accept and the stop decide the size, and the liquidation is checked against the stop.
Example values. Pick your own number. Liquidation assumes an isolated position on a market whose maximum leverage is 20×, using Hyperliquid’s published formula; fees and funding move it slightly.
Five screens. One way of working.
Plan on the chart, size on the ticket, test in the builder, automate with a bot, and read it all back in the portfolio and the journal. Paper and live work the same way.
An order ticket that asks before it sends.
Set the stop, choose how much you can lose, and the ticket works out the size. Before the order goes, a five-question checklist asks whether this trade is the one in your plan.
- Size worked out from your stop and your chosen lossSize by risk
Pick the loss you accept and where the idea is wrong. The ticket turns those two into a position size, so a stop-out costs what you decided.
How do I size a trade from the risk instead of guessing? - Liquidation shown next to the stop, before you sendLeverage and liquidation
Leverage changes the margin you post, not the money you risk. The ticket shows how far the liquidation sits beyond your stop, so a stop that would never trigger is caught early.
What do the leverage slider and the liquidation line mean? - A five-question checklist before the order goesPre-trade checklist
Five yes-or-no questions from your own plan, asked every time. An override is allowed and lands in your journal, where it is easy to count later.
What are the pre-trade checklist and the tilt check?
- This setup is written in my trading planYES
- I’m risking no more than my per-trade cap, and my stop is setYES
- The reward is at least my minimum multiple of the risk (reward : risk)YES
- No high-impact release within 15 minutesYES
- I’m calm — not chasing a loss or a missed move—
Trade anyway — override is logged to your journal
Strategies you can read out loud.
Pick conditions from menus, with no code. The builder reads your strategy back as one sentence, then tests it on past prices and reshuffles the trades to show how much of the result was luck.
- Entry conditions from price, moving averages, RSI, MACD, bands, ATR, VWAP and volumeBuild a strategy
Each condition is a sentence built from menus: a value, a comparison, another value. The builder keeps the sentence readable as the rules grow.
How do I build a strategy without code? - Sizing and exits set in the same place as the entryCheck your rules
A strategy without a stop or a size is not finished, and the builder says so before a test runs. The four parts are always in view together.
What does the checklist beside the builder look for? - Results with drawdown, R-multiples and a luck checkRead a backtest
Results come in R, so a win is a multiple of what was risked and strategies compare fairly. The drawdown strip and the luck check sit right under the curve.
How do I read a backtest and what are its limits?
SummaryGo LONG on EXAMPLE perp (1h) when Price crosses above EMA (50) and RSI (14) is less than 70. Size by Risk-based, up to 5× leverage. Take profit at +5%, stop out at −2.5%.
Bots that follow the rule, and stop when they should.
A bot runs one backtested strategy on one market. It pauses itself at its daily loss limit, and one button stops every bot at once.
- A paper bot on the free plan, for as long as you likePractise, then go small
The paper account fills orders the way the exchange would, fees and funding included. A bot that holds up there can move to a small live size without changing a rule.
What comes after a good backtest? - A daily loss limit that pauses the bot by itselfWhy did my bot stop
A bot pauses at the daily loss limit you set, when its exchange connection drops, or when a rule can no longer be read. The reason is written on the bot, not hidden in a log.
Why did my bot pause or stop? - Pause stops new entries; the open position stays yoursDeploy a bot
Deploying takes a strategy with a passed backtest, a market and an account. The same screen shows what the bot may and may not do before it starts.
How do I deploy a bot?
See whether the edge is still there.
Your last hundred trades, live and paper, turned into a few honest numbers: what you make per unit of risk, how steady it is, and what funding costs you.
- Profit and loss for today, the week, the month and all timeRead your portfolio
Pick a window and every row changes with it. The headline sentence says what the window made and how many trades it took.
What does the Portfolio screen show? - Edge health from your own tradesRead it in R
Expectancy, profit factor and edge per month are worked out from the risk you took on each trade. They read the same on a small account and a large one.
What is R and how do I read my backtest in it? - How far a drawdown has to climb backTrack record
The track record is the portfolio over all time as one page, with its drawdowns and their recoveries. It can be shared as it is, with nothing added.
What is the Track Record page?
A journal that takes a minute.
How it felt, what went right, what went wrong, and whether you followed your plan. It counts the days you journal, with no streak to break, so a missed day costs nothing.
- Five feelings and twelve tags, one tap eachJournal a trade
A feeling, a few tags and one line are the whole entry. The trade itself is already there from the ticket, so nothing is typed twice.
How does the journal work? - Earned wins told apart from lucky onesDiscipline, not profit
A trade that followed the plan and lost is marked better than one that broke it and won. The scorecard counts the plan, the stop and the size.
How does the journal work? - Milestones at 10, 30, 100 and 365 days, no streak to breakPolaris Diamonds
Days written count up and never reset. A milestone awards Polaris Diamonds you can spend in the app, and a missed day only waits.
What are Polaris Diamonds and what do they buy?
From trading by feel to trading by plan.

How does liquidation work on Hyperliquid?
Where your liquidation price comes from on Hyperliquid, why it sits closer than one over leverage, what isolated and cross change, and how to keep it beyond your stop.
How does funding work on Hyperliquid?
What funding is on Hyperliquid, how the hourly rate is set, who pays whom, and what holding a perpetual for days really costs, worked through on one position.
Stage 4 · Raise the frameHow do take-profit and stop-loss orders work on Hyperliquid?
How take-profit and stop-loss orders trigger on Hyperliquid, what market and limit change, how position and order TP/SL differ, and why a stop can fill past its price.

Why the minutes around scheduled releases like inflation figures and Fed decisions trade differently, what that does to spreads and stops, and the choices a trader has.
The whole platform, from the first day.
The free plan is everything on paper. A paid plan turns the same tools live; it never unlocks a chart, an indicator or a page.
- Trade from the chart.
Right-click the chart to go long or short, or to set your take-profit and stop, on Hyperliquid. Practise on paper first, then trade live with the same clicks.
- Size every trade by what you risk.
Say how much you are willing to lose and the ticket works out the size. It shows how far your stop sits from liquidation before you place the order.
- Bots that know when to stop.
Turn a strategy into a bot that trades it for you, on paper or live. Each bot pauses itself at the daily loss you set, and one confirmed click stops them all.
- A strategy in four plain parts.
When to get in, when to get out, how much to buy and how much you can lose, each with equal weight. Test it on past prices and see how much of the result could be luck.
- A journal that grades the process.
Mark each traded day as plan followed or not and see your earned wins, lucky wins, good losses and deserved losses. Tag how a session felt and see where your month sits between calm and tilt.
- Funding where you trade.
Every perp shows its hourly funding and the time to the next payment. Your account lists each funding payment you paid or received.
- Every indicator, no limit, no ads.
Add as many indicators as you like to any chart, on every plan, the free one included. No ads, anywhere.
- Drawings that follow you.
Lines, levels and shapes are saved to your account for each market. Sign in on another computer and they are there.
- Your own indicator, no code.
Snap blocks together (an average, a cross, a level) and see it on the chart on real prices. Add it to any market you open.
- Connect your own AI.Paid plans
Ask your AI app about your positions, your strategies and six classic trading books. It can run backtests, draw on your chart and place orders for you.

Does BuildTrade™ hold my money?
No. Your funds stay in your own wallet on the exchange. BuildTrade™ passes your orders to Hyperliquid and nothing more; it can never move or withdraw your funds.
Which exchanges does BuildTrade™ support?
Hyperliquid, perpetuals and spot. Paper trading works on every listed market without an exchange account. More exchanges are added as traders ask for them.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Apprentice is free forever: paper trading, one paper bot, three saved strategies, ten backtests a day, full charting with the indicator builder, the journal, portfolio analytics, strategy templates and share cards. Paid plans add live trading on Hyperliquid, more bots, unlimited strategies and backtests, and a connection for your AI assistant.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. A strategy is built in four steps — name the market, pick the entry conditions from menus, choose how to size the position, and set the exits — and the builder reads it back to you as one plain-English sentence before you backtest it. The indicator builder works from recipes too.
