AI tool reference

The 39 tools an AI app such as Claude can use once you connect it, in 10 groups. This list is made from the one the connection gives the AI app, so the two always match.

Updated

What the marks mean

Reads only
Looks at your account or the market and changes nothing.
Makes changes
Saves, changes or deletes something in your account, never an order.
Only with May place orders on
Works only if you switched on May place orders when you connected the AI app.
Two steps: tells you first
The first call does nothing and has the AI app tell you exactly what will happen; the second, after your yes, does it.
Needs the chart link
Works only while the chart link is on and the Trade screen is open.
Not on the hosted connection
Answers only on the local helper; on the hosted connection it says so.
Can’t be undone
What it removes can’t be brought back.

Help & knowledge

Answers from the help center, the guides, the indicator explanations and the glossary: the same words the app uses.

Market data

Prices and where volume traded, for any Hyperliquid market. Read only.

Account & trading

What is in your account, and the three tools that trade. Each trading tool works only if you let the AI app place orders, and tells you what it will do before it does it.

Strategies & backtests

Write, change and test strategies on past prices. Nothing here trades.

Edge

What your test results say about risk, worked out from your own trades. Nothing is recommended.

Bots

See your bots, and start, stop, pause or resume one. Each of those works only if you let the AI app place orders, and tells you what it will do first.

Alerts

Set, change and delete alerts on price, chart lines and indicators. These don’t need May place orders.

Trading books

Passages from the trading-book library. The hosted connection doesn’t include the library: there these tools say so and point to the help tools.

Watchlists & screener

Your saved lists and screens, and a screener over every Hyperliquid market.

Live chart

Work on the chart in your open web app. Needs the chart link; a notice shows on screen while it is used, and nothing here places orders.
