How do I show several charts at once?

Trade › Layout › Charts, Charts share and Saved layouts

The chart panel can hold one, two, three, four, six or eight charts. Pick the count under Charts in the Layout menu; the new charts copy the one in focus. Click a chart to focus it, then choose its market, timeframe, chart type and studies. Charts share lets them follow each other, and Saved layouts keeps an arrangement on your account.

Step by step

  1. ChartsSeven sketches, one per arrangement; the one in use is filled. Growing copies the focused chart into the new slots. Shrinking keeps the focused chart and drops the last ones.
  2. Click a chartThe focused chart carries the toolbar: its market, timeframe, chart type, studies and drawings are the ones you edit. The others show their market and last price in the corner.
  3. Charts shareMarket, Timeframe, Crosshair, Time range and Drawings, each on or off. With Market on, picking a market in the pair selector changes every chart; off, only the focused one. Crosshair and Time range follow your pointer and scrolling across the grid. Drawings copies what you draw on one market onto the same market in the other charts.
  4. Save as…Names the arrangement and keeps it on your account: the charts, their markets, timeframes, chart types, studies and the share switches.
  5. SaveAppears once a saved layout is open and you have changed something. It updates that layout in place.
  6. Open…Lists your saved layouts, newest first, with how many charts each holds and the one open now. Pick one to show it; the bin beside each deletes it.
  7. DeleteRemoves the open layout from your account. The charts on screen stay as they are.

Good to know

  • Each chart keeps its own studies and chart type; only the switches under Charts share pass between charts.
  • When the focused chart gets narrow, with six or eight charts beside the book and the ticket, its toolbar keeps the timeframes, Layout and Fullscreen; the drawing tools come back with more room, such as the Chart Focus preset.
  • The arrangement on screen stays on this device, so a reload keeps it. Opening a layout on another device never replaces what this one shows.
  • An account keeps up to 50 saved layouts. When the same layout was saved on another device in the meantime, you are asked whether to keep yours as a new layout or take theirs.
  • Two charts of the same market and timeframe share one live feed, so eight charts cost no more connections than the markets they show.
