What are Polaris Gems and what do they buy?

Polaris Gems are earned for building habits in the app: a first strategy, a first backtest, a first bot, journal streaks, a referral who joins, and accepted bug reports. They buy discounts on a renewal: a quarter off, half off, or a full month free, with a yearly cap on free months. Rewards shows the balance, what it buys now, and recent awards.
