# Help & knowledge

Answers from the help center, the guides, the indicator explanations and the glossary: the same words the app uses.

## search_help

Finds the help articles and guides that answer a question, each with its address.

Marks: Reads only.

### Inputs

- `query`: text (2–200 characters), required.
- `limit`: whole number (1 to 10). Default `5`.

What the AI app reads: Search the BuildTrade™ help center and guides (how the app works, plans, connecting an exchange, bots, backtests, risk). Each hit has a short complete answer and its web address — quote the address so the user can read more. Use read_help for the whole page.

## read_help

Reads one whole help article or guide, so an answer can quote it rather than guess.

Marks: Reads only.

### Inputs

- `slug`: text (not empty, up to 120 characters), required. From `search_help`.
- `kind`: one of `article`, `guide`.

What the AI app reads: Read a whole help article or guide (Markdown) by its slug from search_help. Cite the url it returns.

## explain_indicator

Explains a chart indicator the way the app does: what it is in everyday words, then how it is worked out, how traders read it and where it misleads.

Marks: Reads only.

### Inputs

- `name`: text (up to 80 characters).

What the AI app reads: Explain a chart indicator the way the app does: a plain layer (what it is, in everyday words) and a deeper layer (how it is worked out, how traders read it, where it misleads), plus its settings and lines. Accepts names, abbreviations or nicknames ("rsi", "bollinger", "sma"). With no name it lists every indicator by group.

## glossary_term

Looks up a trading word with its plain meaning and why it matters.

Marks: Reads only.

### Inputs

- `term`: text (up to 80 characters).

What the AI app reads: Look up a trading word the way the app explains it (R-multiple, expectancy, drawdown, per-trade cap, …): the plain meaning and why it matters. With no term it lists every word.
