# Trading books

Passages from the trading-book library. The hosted connection doesn’t include the library: there these tools say so and point to the help tools.

## search_trading_books

Searches the trading-book library for passages that back up an answer, naming the book.

Marks: Reads only · Not on the hosted connection.

### Inputs

- `query`: text (2–300 characters), required.
- `book`: text (up to 80 characters). One book by part of its title, e.g. "Zone".
- `limit`: whole number (1 to 12). Default `6`.

## get_book_passage

Reads a whole passage found by the search, with the text around it.

Marks: Reads only · Not on the hosted connection.

### Inputs

- `chunk_id`: text (not empty, up to 200 characters), required. From `search_trading_books`.
- `context`: whole number (0 to 3). Default `1`.
